The Machine Behind the Art at Superblue Miami is one of JR’s most extensive immersive and experiential works to date.
After taking portraits in one of three individual photo booths, visitors enter the interior of an oversized, whirring printing press—turning their image into a tangible work of art while offering a glimpse into the creative process of JR.

Getting Here
Superblue Miami is located directly across from the Rubell Museum in Allapattah. Please arrive 15 mins before scheduled time slot, enter through Superblue’s main entrance, and check-in at the front desk. From there you will be directed to a special entrance for JR’s The Machine Behind The Art.

• This is an intimate experience—only three guests move through at a time. Larger groups may be broken up.
• Following the experience, prints will be rolled and packed for hand-carry. We are unable to ship your print.
• During check-in, guests will be asked to sign an image release waiver.
